Helpful Resources

I do not offer a sliding-scale fee structure, except in cases of sudden disability or temporary job loss involving a patient or client with whom I am already working. If you require reduced fee therapy, you might consider exploring the following local resources:

The Center Clinic (also affiliated with the George Washington University)

(202) 994-4937

The Community Counseling Services Center (also affiliated with the George Washington University)

(202) 994-8645
(Click on the Search tab at the top of the page, and enter "Community Counseling Services Center".)

Eugene Meyer III Treatment Center (The Washington School of Psychiatry's outpatient mental health clinics)
5028 Wisconsin Avenue, NW
(202) 537-6050

The Women's Center -- Washington, DC, and Vienna, Virginia
(Individuals & couples, and men are also welcome in individual therapy)
1025 Vermont Avenue, NW
(202) 293-4580
133 Park Street, NE
Vienna, Virginia 22180
(703) 281-2657

Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis (ICP+P)
The Consultation and Referral Service associated with the ICP+P Training Programs is available to those seeking
low fee Psychotherapy, Psychoanalysis or Couples Therapy. Clients contacting the service for assistance are
referred to a therapist-in-training or to an analyst-in-training. The trainees are mental health professionals with
clinical experience who are enrolled in ICP+P's post-graduate training programs. The trainees are supervised by
ICP+P's senior clinical faculty, and therapy locations are available throughout the Washington-Baltimore area.
Or, contact ICP+P at [email protected] or at (202) 686-9300 for further information.

One additional possibility is to view a list of therapists here:
Type in your preferred zip code for where you would like the therapy to take place. When you look at the profiles of
the listed therapists, you will see a sub-section called Finances on the left side of the screen
(just below the therapist's statement). Within that, "Sliding-Scale" will either have a Yes or No next to it.
You can have a conversation with a therapist who says Yes about what you can afford to pay, and then see if that's something that he or she
can manage.
